There have to be rules like the deathbed law, and there can be no exceptions. I know It goes against human nature: we want time to say goodbye. It doesn’t seem right to immediately follow your loved one’s last breath with taking a saw to their neck. Especially when it’s a child. The recent incident is just one example of our difficulty adjusting to the new reality.
Hence, I am making a new law. From now, no more than one relative per patient in the sick house, and for every relative, there has to be at least one armed guard.
ahem. more?
ReplyDeleteI will, I'm just still working on a longer one that is bedeviling me. :-)
